Long Term Care
At PAML, our Long Term Care Program is committed to enhancing patient care in long term care and assisted living facilities through an integrated ordering system designed to track and schedule routine “Standing Order” laboratory requests, assisting the facility in meeting ever-increasing regulatory requirements.
Our program is designed to:
- Provide a Long Term Care Coordinator for consultation.
- Assist licensed staff with documentation of "medical necessity" of lab orders, by using appropriate ICD-9 / Diagnosis Codes.
- Provide a professionally trained Long Term Care Specialists to monitor "Standing Order" laboratory requests to correlate with the patient’s chart orders, as provided by the facility licensed staff. This feature eliminates the necessity of repetitive completion of requisitions for on-going tests, as well as notifies the staff with a weekly "at a glance" listing of residents Standing Order schedules.
- Provide on-site phlebotomy for facility residents or couriers to pick up specimens upon request.
- Provide phlebotomy skills and training to licensed staff
- Provide comprehensive testing, with same day turn around on tests upon request.
- Provide a monthly Epidemiology Report for tracking trends within your facility (upon request).
- Ease of online Supply Ordering.
