Dr. Gregory Clark, Vice President of the National Esoteric Laboratory for Pathology Associates Medical Laboratories (PAML), was recently elected secretary of the Pacific Northwest section of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC). PAML is one of the nation’s premier medical reference laboratories and a healthcare solutions company. AACC, by definition on their website, “is a global scientific and medical professional organization dedicated to clinical laboratory science and its application to healthcare.”

In his position at PAML, Dr. Clark provides overall management for PAML’s National Esoteric Reference Laboratory Services (NRL). In addition to leading the day-to-day operations of the NRL, he also leads the development of strategies and initiatives to support future growth of the laboratory’s esoteric testing services. During his term as secretary for the local AACC section, Dr. Clark will be responsible for all official section correspondence, including newsletters, meeting minutes, and agendas. Dr. Clark will also be responsible for broadly distributing national AACC information and event details to the local membership. Increasing local member engagement and moderating the AACC Artery, a collaborative private online forum where members ask questions, share knowledge, and connect with other professionals, will also be among his duties as secretary.

“Dr. Clark’s appointment as secretary of the local section of the AACC is an indicator of his leadership in action, and sound dedication to innovation in clinical laboratory science,” said Francisco R. Velázquez, M.D., S.M., President and Chief Executive Officer for PAML, LLC and PAML Ventures. “His position as secretary allows PAML to elevate engagement with AACC members on a local and national level.”
