Patty Sipes, the senior vice-president for sales, marketing and business development at PAML, was an invited speaker at the G2 Laboratory Sales and Marketing Conference, held December 15-16, 2014, at the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona. Sipes presentation, “Aligning Sales and Marketing to Ensure Business Success,” covered the evolving role of sales and marketing in today’s volatile healthcare environment. She emphasized how diagnostic laboratories should develop strategies to use content marketing, social media, and consultative selling to drive the bottom line. Participants received in-depth information regarding the effective integration of sales and marketing functions to help communicate more effectively with patients, consumers, and providers. It also included processes for building ongoing engagement with clients and developing lasting relationships.
